El CNA de 1912 era una organización no racial:En la década de 1930 fue infiltrada por los liberalesblancos y los comunistas que trataban de promoveruna posición multiracial. En la década de1940, con el surgimiento de la Liga Juvenil, el CNAse revitalizó hacia el no-racialismo y la no-colaboracióncon los blancos y otras organizaciones noafricanas. Hacia 1948, el Congreso NacionalAfricano de nuevo integró a otros grupos. Fue en1955, con la aceptación de la Carta de la Libertadcomo documento orientador, el momento en elque el CNA incorporó a múltiples estructurasraciales. El NEUM, el CPA y el BCM se opusieronvehementemente al multi-racialismo. Este artículotrata de investigar las bases de desarrollo del multiracialismoy cómo han fallado o tenido éxito en laarena política de Sudáfrica. El trabajo también tratade demostrar que multi-racialismo denota unasituación y no se debe presentar como una políticao ideología de una organización.

The ANC of 1912 was a non-racial organisation:In the 1930s it was infiltrated by the white liberalsand communists who tried to push it to a multiracialistposition. In the 1940s, with the emergenceof the ANCYL, the ANC was revitalized towardsnon-racialism and non-collaboration with whitesand other non-African organisations. Towards1948, the ANC again co-operated and embracedother groups. It was in 1955, with the acceptanceof the Freedom Charter as a guiding documentthat the ANC was embraced with multi-racialiststructures. The NEUM, PAC, and BCM vehementlyopposed multi-racialism. The paper istrying to investigate and to charter the developmentof multi-racialism and how it failed or succeededin the South African political arena. Thepaper will also try to demonstrate that multi-racialismdenotes a situation and it cannot be turnedaround as a policy or ideology of an organisation.

Dans le année de 1912, le CNA était une sociéténon raciale. Dans les années 1930 a été infiltré parde de libéraux blancs et les communistes qui essayaientde promovoir une position multi-raciste.Dans les années 1940, avec la montée de la Liguede la Jeneusse, l´CNA a été relancé vers le nonracialismeet la non-coopération avec les blancs etles autres organisations non-africaines. En 1948, leCongrès nacional africain à nouveau rejoint d'autresgroupes. C'est en 1955, avec l'acceptation de laCharte de la Liberté comme document d'orientation,le délai dans lequel l'CNA a rejoint plusieursstructures racialistas. Le NEUM, le CPA et le BCMsont farouchement opposés àu multi-racialismo.Cet article vise à étudier les bases pour le développementde la multi-racialisme et de la façon dont ilsont échoué ou réussi dans l'arène politique sudafricaine.Le travail vise aussi à montrer que lemulti-racialisme désigne une situation et ne doit pas être présentée comme une politique ou d'idéologied'une organisation.
